NL Texas Hold’em Poker- Who is Phil Ivey?

Phil Ivey has been referred to as the best poker player in the world by most of the top pros. He was born in Riverside, CA and relocated to Jersey before reaching the age of 1. His grandfather taught Phil penny-ante Five-Card Stud poker. From then on on, Phil was hooked on poker and wanted to discover whatever he possibly could about the game. He routinely told his grandparents that he was planning on being a professional poker player. He did not permit the detrimental comments from others annihilate his dream of being one of the best poker competitors in the world.
Phil started competing intently after acquiring a fake ID by the name of Jerome. He sharpened his abilities at the poker rooms in Atlantic City. The initial number of years for him were a teaching experience and coming away with a win wasn’t a normal thing at the time. He made his mark at the 2000 World Series of Poker when he achieved two final tables and won his first World Series of Poker bracelet, in a two dollar, five hundred Pot-Limit Omaha match. At the last table he destroyed quite a few of the well known pros including but not limited to "Amarillo Slim" Preston, David "Devilfish" Ulliot, and Phil Hellmuth, Jr.
Phil made a decision to take his game to the successive level and headed out west to Sin City. Phil continues to participate in in "The Big Game" at the Bellagio with the best players in the world. Ivey credits his achievements to hard work and an undying love for the game of poker. Phil says that he’s picking up skills every single day and is very abashed about his success. He knows he makes errors every single session of poker and constantly aspires to improve.
Even though Phil has won some large tournaments, he favors destroying money games on a normal basis.
