Double-hand Poker is a current game with old ancestry. Based on the old Chinese domino game and the modern American adaptation of poker, Pai Gow poker combines the east with the western in a great game for starting players.
Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the player versus the house, unlike most other poker games that gamblers play against other players. By gambling against the dealer, starting players don’t have to be concerned about other, more knowledgeable players taking their $$$$.
One more Pai Gow advantage is the generally slow game pace, beginners can take their time and plan without having to make frenzied decisions.
It’s also easier to enjoy for a long time with basically a tiny amount of money since, to lose, both of your hands must be under both of the dealer’s hands.
Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the normal 52-card standard deck and a single joker. The gambler is assigned 7 cards faces showing and the house receives seven cards faces hidden.
One 5 card hand and one two card hand have to be made from the 7 cards, the 5 card hand has to be higher than the two card hand. To succeed, a player is required to have both of his hand values to be higher than the houses.
