Pai Gow Poker is a modern game with old ancestry. Built on the old Chinese domino game and the modern American variation of poker, Pai Gow poker joins the east with the wild west in a great game for early level players.
Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the gambler versus the dealer, unlike nearly all other poker games that gamblers bet with other players. By playing against the dealer, beginning players don’t need to worry about any other, more advanced gamblers taking their cash.
A further Pai Gow edge is the relatively leisurely game play, beginners can take their time and strategize while not having to make hasty selections.
It’s also easier to participate in for a very long time with just a small bit of money after all, to lose, each of your hands has to be under both of the casino’s hands.
Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the regular 52-card basic deck and a single joker. The player is dealt seven cards faces showing and the casino receives seven cards faces hidden.
A five card hand and a 2 card hand must be put together from the 7 cards, the 5 card hand has to be better than the two card hand. To succeed, a player is required to have both of his hand totals to be larger than the dealer’s.
