Internet poker has become globally acclaimed recently, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game shows. The games popularity, though, arcs back in reality a bit farther than its TV ratings. Over the years several variations on the first poker game have been developed, including some games that are not in fact poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these particular games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely affiliated with twenty-one than long-standing poker, in that the gamblers bet against the bank rather than the other players. The succeeding hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little bluffing or different types of deceptiveness. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up prior to the croupier announcing "No more bets." At that point, both you and the casino and of course all of the different players are given 5 cards each. After you have seen your hand and the bank’s first card, you need to in turn make a call bet or accede. The call bet’s amount is on same level to your beginning wager, meaning that the stakes will have increased two fold. Giving Up means that your wager goes instantly to the dealer. After the wager comes the showdown. If the bank doesn’t have ace/king or greater, your bet is given back, including a figure in accordance with the original wager. If the bank does have ace/king or better, you succeed if your hand defeats the bank’s hand. The casino pays out chips even with your wager and set expectations on your call wager. These odds are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • two to one for two pairs
  • 3-1 for three of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
