Pai Gow Poker is a modern game with old ancestry. Built on the ancient Chinese domino game and the modern American adaptation of poker, Pai Gow poker bands together the eastern with the west in an awesome game for starting players.

Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the gambler against the croupier, unlike nearly all other poker games that players play against other players. By wagering against the dealer, new players don’t have to fret about any other, more skillful players winning their cash.

Another Pai Gow edge is the fairly slow game pace, novices can take their time and strategize while not needing to make frenzied choices.

It’s also simpler to bet on for a very long time with basically a small amount of money since, to not win, both of your hands must be under both of the dealer’s hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the normal 52-card common deck and a single joker. The gambler is assigned 7 cards faces showing and the croupier is given seven cards face down.

A five card hand and one two card hand have to be put together from the seven cards, the five card hand has to be better than the two card hand. To succeed, a player needs both of his hand totals to be better than the dealer’s.
