NL Holdem Poker- Who is Howard Lederer?

Howard Lederer grew up in a family of five where he loved taking part in different card games at a young age. He discovered himself getting really competitive in these card games while playing his dad. After finishing high school, Howard decided to place college on hold for a bit and relocated to New York City to compete in some serious chess. While competing in chess, he was introduced to a poker game taking place in the rear of the room. Howard’s 1st 2 years were difficult as he played many hours and do not win a majority of the time. He made some additional cash by becoming an assistant for the poker enthusiasts. He theorized he might boost his game by adjusting his life outside of poker. He made an attempt to acquire more sleep and focus more on the game.
The real advancement in his game began when he started gambling at the Mayfair Club in New York. The Mayfair was a bridge and backgammon association where the the most favorable players would frequently wager against each other. Howard had access into several of the foremost minds in chess. With their help, Howard would sharpen his cunning thinking skills. Howard applied these strategic ideas to the game of No-Limit hold’em.
He also assisted his sibling Annie Duke master the game of poker. Annie Duke was a great student of the game as she would always be asking questions about how to make the proper decision. He told Annie to move out to Sin City and compete in the World Series of Poker tournaments. Annie is one of the best women players the poker arena has ever seen. Howard Lederer moved to Sin City in 1993 and competed in cash games for the successive 10 years. When the WPT gained popularity, Howard made the decision to compete in more tournaments.
