The History of Poker Money

Casino chips have been manufactured from a wide selection of materials in an almost endless variety of styles since the birth of wagering and the need to keep an eye on winnings. The most familiar components used today in the manufacture of modern poker chips are plastic, clay composite, and acrylics. Clay chips, the original of the group, have been manufactured in America since the late 19th century.
Back in the 1800s, poker enthusiasts appear to be using any small valuable object you can imagine. Early poker enthusiasts occasionally used jagged gold pieces as well as chips – mainly manufactured of wood and clay. By the 20th century, poker chip features began to enjoy a greater prominence, and the smooth edges of older chips gave way to chips with engraved slits to hold them neatly stacked together.
There is no doubt that poker has expanded constantly in popularity ever since its origin in the 19th century. With the huge growth of internet gaming and unique television shows, community appeal in poker has feed the fire a lot faster than ever before. Most people are initially introduced to poker by television showssuch as Bravo’s "Celebrity Poker Showdown" or "Poker After Dark," and many will participate in their first hands on the web. Regardless of net poker’s growth, nothing replaces the feeling of mixing heavy poker chips in your hands, tossing chips into the center of a poker table, or creating high pilesstacks of chips after showing a winning hand.
